  • Descrizione: A once-famous singer, Marina Ralli, leaves a concert by pianist Alexis Mikelis and wanders lost in the streets. Confronted by one of her old posters, memories are awakened, and her past comes back to life. She remembers the time when she hired young Alexis to accompany her on the piano, and when she later fell in love with him as they were planning a major tour abroad. She had then learned that Alexis had a wife who had left him for no reason, and a child. She asked her lawyer Nasos to continue to aid him financially, and she went on tour alone, which proved to be her final tour and the end of her career. Returning to Greece after many years, she again meets Alexis, who, in the meantime, has become a famous pianist and composer. Now, Alexis wants to repay all that she has done for him, and so he arranges for her to appear on stage. The triumph is unprecedented, but the singer’s weak heart gives out on her. She passes out on stage and soon after dies in the wings, while the theater reverberates with thunderous applause.
